Welcome to Main Reserve
The Main Library's Reserve service allows instructors to set aside books and articles for class use, or make articles or book excerpts available online. Regular and Electronic Reserve lists may contain required and/or recommended reading for Northwestern courses. This reduces student expenses by ensuring free access to books and other materials, and allows students to easily access out-of-print or expensive books.
The Main Library's Reserve office is located in the Core Collection, on the 2nd floor in the North Tower of the University Library. Reserve staff are available between 8:30 am and 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, and the Reserve circulation desk is open during regular Core-Reserve hours. Reserve staff can be contacted by e-mail or by telephone at (847) 491-7681.
