Schaffner Library Information Literacy Module
Students and faculty members have access to an information literacy module available through the Blackboard course management system. This self-guided eight-section module aims to help students conduct more effective research by showing them how to evaluate information; use the online catalog, NUcat; create detailed search terms; “read” citations; among other topics. Each section of the module ends with an assignment that can be turned in and evaluated by a librarian. The skills learned through the Information Literacy Module can also be carried to other colleges and universities where students may one day study. If you would like to go through this Information Literacy Module, please e-mail the Schaffner Library Reference Department (schaffner-reference@northwestern.edu) and we will add the module to your Blackboard courses. |
