About the Science and Engineering Library
|
Seeley G. Mudd Library for Science and Engineering (SEL) contains about 345,000 books and bound journal volumes covering many fields of science and engineering and subscribes to 2,000 journals in electronic or print format. Access to online reference and full-text information is provided by the Morton M. and and Joann S. Astrahan Information Center, which includes networked public workstations, printers, laptop connections, and wireless network access, and is the core of the development of electronic access in SEL. In addition there are three other science and technical branch libraries on the Evanston campus covering materials in specific disciplines: the Transportation Library (located in the Main Library), the Mathematics Library (located in Lunt Hall) and the Geology Library (located in Locy Hall). The Northwestern University Galter Health Sciences Library (combining both the medical and dental libraries) is located on the Chicago campus. |
