Reciprocal Borrowing Agreements
Northwestern University Library has reciprocal borrowing agreements with University of Chicago, Loyola University of Chicago, and University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) libraries.
Most Northwestern University faculty, staff, and students may gain access to University of Chicago, Loyola University of Chicago, and UIC libraries by showing their valid Northwestern ID at the building entrance. Likewise, most faculty, staff and students from these institutions may gain access to Northwestern libraries (with the exception of the medical and law libraries) by showing their valid home institution ID at the building entrance.
University of Chicago, Loyola, and UIC users may also apply for a borrower's card at Northwestern, and Northwestern users may apply for borrowers cards at their libraries. - the University of Chicago libraries.
- the Loyola University of Chicago libraries.

I want to borrow books from the Northwestern University libraries, and I am a current student, faculty or staff member at:
- The University of Chicago.
- Loyola University of Chicago.
- The University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC).
PLEASE NOTE: Reciprocal borrowing agreements vary between Northwestern and each institution. Reciprocal arrangements may not exist between University of Chicago, Loyola, and UIC. Patrons from these institutions should inquire at their home library about such arrangements with other institutions.
