Software Installation Requests
Making a Software Installation Request
There are many popular and specialty software applications available on Library public and lab computers. Sometimes a specific application, not already available on Library computers, is needed for instruction and coursework at NU. An instructor or other member of the university community may use the form below to request installation of additional software.
Installation Timeframe Factors
Please expect software installations to take up to three weeks, from the time we have the software and valid licenses in hand. We can only install properly licensed software – trial versions cannot be installed. We cannot install software that will require the user to have administrator privileges to run the application. To maintain a complex, reliable and secure computing environment in classrooms, we must test each addition for compatibility .You will also need to test the application after installation to be sure it works in the way you expect. For especially complex software, allow more time for several iterations of testing.
