Evanston Resident Borrower's Card
Permanent residents of Evanston over the age of 18 may apply for a Borrower’s Card at the Library Privileges office on the first floor of the Main Library, if they:
- Present a photo ID;
- Present proof of a current Evanston address, such as a utility bill;
- Pay a $50.00 fee per three months of privileges; and
- Provide a valid e-mail address.
Please note that the Evanston Resident Borrower's card does not include borrowing privileges from our Interlibrary Loan, Multimedia, Art, Core, or Reserve Collections. The Library is unable to offer permanent or remote access to our online databases, but any library guest can request a free temporary NetID (or "day pass") for use on the premises (see the Guest NetIDs page for where to request one).
