An elderly female companion, her nose decayed by syphilis, joins
Moll as her protector and maidservant. Moll's one-room dwelling
bears the trophies of her trade: two vials of 'cures' for venereal
disease rest conveniently on the portraits above her bed, while
Moll dangles a watch stolen from last night's customer. Her preparation
for her next client will soon be interrupted by her arrest.
