In Africana, we need people who can help use keep our large, diverse, and very unique research collection in good working order.  The duties assigned to this position will require you to spend a fair amount of time getting to know where the books go in the stacks, and keeping them in order. In addition, you will be called on for assistance with basic clerical tasks and with special projects.

This job offers flexible scheduling of work shifts (between 8:30-5, M-F):

  • a low-stress factor
  • the chance to work independently (once trained)
  • increasing knowledge of Africa (you pick it up as you work), and in the use of the library

 

Work Study Students- Must be an NU undergraduate with a Federal Work-Study allotment for the current year.
