The Deering Library Distinctive Collection - Art Collection supports the research needs of Art History, Art Theory and Practice, and other arts and humanities departments. Student assistants shelve and shift books; help patrons to search the catalog and locate materials; answer basic reference questions; support users with library computers, equipment and copiers; search for missing books; and complete special projects as assigned. On evenings and weekends, the Art Collection reading rooms are staffed only by student assistants. Student assistants who work in the Art Collection are expected to be able to work some nights and weekend shifts.

 

For WORK-STUDY STUDENTS:

Work Study students- Must be an NU undergraduate with a Federal Work-Study allotment for the current year.

Job Details
Qualifications: 
Initiative, energy, cheerfulness, good communication skills, and ABOVE ALL – RELIABILITY. Some clerical, customer service, or library experience helpful. Freshmen or Sophomores preferred.
