WORK/STUDY STUDENTS.

Working in the Library Personnel Office provides a wide range of skills and experiences.

Interpersonal Skills - answering and directing telephone calls; handle staff questions; schedules interviews for student jobs; demonstrate proper use of timekeeping system to New Hire Temporary employees; liaison between the Work/Study Office, Payroll Office and Timekeeping for the Library departments.
Organizational Skills - assist in maintaining student and staff records/files - electronically and paper; filing; typing using PC and typewriter, data entry; assist in maintaining the inventory of the office; assist with coordinating the hiring process for Library Job Fair; Computer Skills - work with spreadsheets in Excel and database in Access; WORD; PowerPoint; copier/FAX.
On occasions make deliveries to other offices in the library and outside of the library. Other duties as assigned.
 

Library Personnel office hours: 8:30am - 5:00 pm Monday-Friday

Summer Available hours: Tuesday 9am - 5pm; Thursday 9am - 5pm

Qualifications: 
Maintain strict confidentiality. Must have good clerical skills with working knowledge of WORD, Excel and some knowledge of Access. Enjoy working with the public. Punctuality, reliability and attentive to detail are a must.
