This is a10 hr/week position that reports to the Head of the User Experience Department. The Participatory Design Assistant will employ a variety of ethnographic and other qualitative research methods to help assess library services, spaces, and user-facing technologies. They will design and conduct interviews, observational studies, focus groups, diary studies, and other user-centered investigations; code and analyze results; and present their analysis to library stakeholders.

Job Details
Qualifications: 
Required Qualifications: Grad preferred. Substantive experience and/or advanced coursework in participant observation, ethnography or other qualitative research methods. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Customer service skills; success working with a diverse clientele. Required to work evening and weekend hours. Preferred qualifications: Experience with ATLAS.ti, NVivo, or other qualitative research software. Resume required
