Provide assistance to patrons at the Library’s Information Commons service desk. Welcome users to the library; answer directional and informational questions by phone and in person; instruct and assist patrons in the use of the online catalog, computer databases, and the internet. Provide basic assistance with Microsoft Office programs and basic maintenance & troubleshooting of computers and printers. Serve as contact person for various library-wide services and informational functions.

This position involves a significant amount of required, paid training.
 

Required to work shifts during evening, late night, and weekend hours.

Job Details
Qualifications: 
Must enjoy working with the public, have an interest in academic research, and be able to work without supervision. Basic knowledge of computers helpful. Previous library or public service helpful but not required. Must be able to work late nights (11 pm-3am) and weekends during the Academic Year.

$8.75 per hour
