National Technical Service in Transition: Drawers of Microfiche to Digital Files

Many of our libraries have substantial collections of NTIS reports on microfiche that contain rare and interesting government research, development, and engineering studies. They've have been collected via NTIS' automatic document delivery service, known as Selected Research in Microfiche (SRIM), for years - but what are the newest options for access? Ellen Herbst, Director at NTIS, will discuss changes in digital access, how you can create custom SRIM subscriptions using keywords, how color and graphic documents are being made available, and how NTIS might work with library networks to keep collections robust. Transportation Library Director, Rita Evans will join the discussion with innovations for preserving and managing technical report availability.
