Services:
At the beginning of the course you will receive a formal orientation to the
Transportation Library and its online resources. Further assistance and guidance
is available at any time during your research. Librarians are available weekdays
from 8:30am - 5:00pm to help you get started on your project.
Circulation:
Materials are checked out and returned at the Main Circulation desk on the 1st
floor of the University Library. Be sure to bring your Wildcard when checking
out materials. The loan period for books and reports is one month. Periodicals
do not circulate--you must use them within the building. Renewals may be made
onsite, via the web at http://www.library.northwestern.edu/circulation/renew.html,
or by mail. Your Wildcard also entitles you to borrow books from the Main Library,
as well as all other Northwestern Libraries.
Photocopiers:
A photocopier is available in the hall, just as you come off the elevators.
Card-to-cash machines, where you can load your Wildcard or a copy card provided
by the machine, are located on the first and second floors. There are a few
machines in the building that will take cash, but each copy paid for in cash
will cost two cents more than those copies made via card.
