Reference Services
Brief telephone reference is available without charge to all CPS offsite students and graduates. Library staff can recommend resources and search strategies to use in your research, as well as assist in any problems you are having connecting to the online resources. Students and graduates in the Chicago area are encouraged to visit the library and use the facilities. The reference staff is available M - F, 8:30am to 5:00pm.

Borrowing and Document Delivery
Offsite students and graduates can borrow books at no charge. Requests can be made in person, by telephone, fax, e-mail, or regular mail. Onsite borrowers' loan period is two weeks, and four weeks for books sent through the mail. Renewal for a further two weeks is allowed if the item is not required by another user. Current and bound periodicals do not circulate off-campus. Photocopying facilities are available for onsite users.

The Library can provide photocopies of articles for a fee. An invoice will be mailed with the materials. The charges for this service are as follows:

Loans are shipped via UPS ground at no additional cost if under 5 lbs., billed at cost if over 5 lbs. Copies are shipped via first class mail at no additional cost up to 11 oz., at cost over 11 oz. Please refer to our Document Delivery page for more detail on policies and procedures.

Parking:
Metered parking on campus is available behind Fisk Hall at 1845 Sheridan Road. For information on extended parking, contact the Parking Office, 1819 Hinman Ave., 847.491.3319.
