Fred "The Hammer" Williamson

Born in Gary, Indiana, in 1938, Williamson played football for the the Froebel High School Blue Devils before coming to Northwestern University to play under coach Ara Parseghian. After NU, Williamson played defensive back for the Pittsburgh Steelers (1960), the Oakland Raiders (1961-64), and the Kansas City Chiefs (1965-67). He then went to Hollywood to begin a successful career as an actor, director, and producer, appearing in television series, films, and commercials. He was inducted into the Indiana Football Hall of Fame in 1996.
