Notes on Online Art and Architecture Research

Art Collection staff have compiled a LibGuide for Art and Architecture History with suggestions for starting your research.

Another great starting point is Northwestern University Library's ER: Electronic Resources Northwestern Community Only (Restricted Access Resource) , which lets you search multiple databases simultaneously. Go to "CrossSearch" and select "Art and Architecture" from the pull-down "Subjects" menu on the left to see a list of databases, then click the box next to each database you want to include and enter your search term(s) in the box.

You can also search art and architecture databases individually. Go to ER and choose "Find Database," then choose "Subject," then "Art and Architecture."

Some databases will require a Northwestern NetID and password for access from off-campus.
