Music materials in other library locations

  • University Archives holds collections of composers and musicians who are alumni, former faculty or otherwise affiliated with Northwestern University.
  • The McCormick Library of Special Collections holds rare music scores and books, archival collections and other music materials.
  • Some older circulating music books, scores and bound periodicals are stored in the library's high-density storage facility, the Oak Grove Library Center. Materials may be requested via NUsearch and are usually delivered within 24 hours.
  • The Mitchell Multimedia Center has filmed productions of operas and other musical performances and documentaries available for checkout on DVD.
