Digital Scholarship and Data Services

Librarians with expertise in digital scholarship and data services provide consultation, collaboration and co-authorship for projects that involve digital research methods, data science and digital publishing. 

Services include:

• Course-related instruction: invite us to your class to teach your students about digital research methods and data skills, or collaborate on the development of course-specific materials. 
• Research consultations and collaborations: meet one-on-one with a data specialist from the library or from NUIT.
• Workshops and training: develop your skills in topics like GIS, text mining and data science. 
• GIS and data visualization: receive support for mapping, spatial analysis, finding spatial datasets, and general troubleshooting for GIS software.
• Research data management: receive support to write a data management plan, collect and store data securely, share and archive data, and more.
• Digital humanities and publishing services:  consultations and support in the creation of custom digital publications, including scholarly journals, digital exhibits, monographs and more.
