Northwestern University Libraries offer a range of services and continued access to resources for retired faculty and staff. With an active Wildcard, retirees can access library buildings, borrow materials, and use special collections. Those with a current NetID can also access electronic journals and databases from off campus, while others may request guest access in the library. Retirees are encouraged to attend library events and workshops, and emeritus faculty may renew their study carrels for up to five years post-retirement. The Libraries also welcome inquiries about donating rare books, specialized collections, or personal papers that document academic careers.
