Internet Access and Connectivity
You can connect your device to the internet inside the Libraries as well as connect to library electronic resources from off-campus locations with a NetID.
Library Internet Access
If you have an active NetID, you may access wireless internet on campus.

Choose “eduroam” as your wireless network

Log in using “Your NetID”@northwestern.edu and your NetID password as the username as password
Eduroam is a secure network and does not require a VPN while on campus.

Guest Access Without a NetID
To connect to the wireless internet in the library without a NetID:

Choose “Guest-Northwestern” as your wireless network

Accept the University’s acceptable use policy
If you would like to access electronic resources, you will need to use a library computer with a Guest NetID.
Accessing Library Resources From Off-campus
Only Northwestern students, faculty and staff with active NetIDs may access most library resources due to licensing agreements.
Access electronic resources by authenticating with your NetID and password. You can authenticate through resource links from the library catalog, from research guides by our librarians, from the Libkey Nomad extension and more.
