Lockers

Lockers are available for the storage of personal items in University and Mudd Libraries.

Day-use Lockers

Lockers on the first floor of University Library and in Mudd Library are available for short-term storage. Day-use lockers are self-service and signage in the space has instructions for setting a 4-digit code.

  • Lockers are cleared out at the library’s close each day. Items left in lockers overnight will be brought to the Circulation Desk lost and found.

  • Only use one locker at a time.

  • No food, drink or other perishable item may be stored in lockers.

  • Northwestern Libraries are not responsible for any lost or stolen items.

Long-term Lockers

Lockers on the 3rd, 4th and 5th floor of University Library are assigned annually in the fall. Assignments for lockers are made on a first-come, first-served basis.

Long-term Locker Policies

  • Lockers can be assigned to faculty, staff, students and visiting scholars.

  • If no lockers are available when you apply, you will be added to a waiting list.

  • Assigned lockers must be renewed in September of each year over email.

  • No food, drink or other perishable item may be stored in lockers.

  • Library materials must be checked out to the assigned patron’s account if stored in a locker.

  • Northwestern Libraries are not responsible for any lost or stolen items.

Locker applications will open on October 1st.
