Video Viewing Rooms

Instructors or staff can reserve rooms for classes or groups to view media presentations. Below we have listed information on the Video Theater and the Forum Room.

Video Theater

  • Cannot be reserved for recurring events
  • Cannot be reserved for events that charge admission

The Video Theater includes:

  • 30 moveable chairs with swivel writing arms
  • A mobile white board
  • An ADA-compliant lectern

All AV equipment is controlled from a touchscreen on an ADA-compliant lectern at the front of the room.

  • 90" Sharp Aquos liquid crystal flat screen television (1080p; HDTV; HDMI; 3D)
  • Region-free Blu-ray deck that scales to DVD
  • 1/2" VHS Videotape
  • JBL Control 28 stereo speakers
  • Slide projector (by request)

The Video Theater's computer equipment is housed at the lectern.

  • Dell Optiplex 7040 computer*
  • Smart Podium interactive pen display
  • The lectern has HDMI cabling and Extron cabling that can connect to a laptop that has a standard 15 pin VGA/SVGA monitor adapter. It is recommended that users with current Mac laptop models bring their own adapters.
*Software on Dell Optiplex 7010 computer:
  • Microsoft Windows 10
  • Smart Podium interactive pen display software: Pen & Touch with 80 Touch Points
  • RealPlayer
  • Windows Media Player
  • Adobe Reader
  • Web-based video conferencing
  • Browsers: Firefox, Chrome, Microsoft Edge

When reserving the video theater, include in the field for technology needs:

  • If you need a slide projector
  • If you will be playing a laserdisc
  • If you need any accommodations for accessibility

  • An ADA-compliant lectern

  • Digital ceiling-mounted projector
  • Surround sound speaker system
  • Hand-held and lavalier microphones
  • Dell Optiplex 7040 computer
  • Media players: Region-free Blu-ray deck that scales to DVD,1/2" VHS Videotape player, Laserdisc player, CD player
