Research and Instruction Services
Reproductions and Scanning
Materials in the Music collection can be reproduced on request. On-site scanners can be used to create scans for electronic delivery. Contact library staff at library@northwestern.edu for help with fragile or oversize materials.
Instruction Services
We are available for several instruction services, including
- Orientation to the library's collections, technology, staff and spaces
- Course-related instruction on subject-specific tools or collections
- Self-paced learning about library research skills and resources for Canvas courses
- Specialized instruction on citation management, digital humanities and digital publishing tools, geographic information systems (GIS) software or social science data analysis software
- Introduction to digital collections and related services to support teaching and learning
- Custom research guides and learning objects created in collaboration with faculty
REQUEST COURSE-RELATED INSTRUCTION
Programming
We are available to collaborate on programming supporting Music, Musicology and and other fields supported by our collection. Previous projects include student-curated exhibitions and tours for local conferences.
