Registration and use
The Charles Deering McCormick Library is open to the public and its collections are non-circulating. In order to view collection materials in-person, all patrons must first register and create a user account. Use your account to request materials through the online catalog and to keep a record of your transactions.
Once you arrive at the McCormick Library, check in at the service desk and present a valid government-issued photo identification. Guests from outside the Northwestern community will also be required to show ID to enter the library building.
For optimal service, appointments are encouraged prior to using the collections. To set up an appointment contact us directly at firstname.lastname@example.org.

The McCormick Library of Special Collections and University Archives is located in Deering Library, level 3. To navigate there via GPS, use the address below.

The McCormick Library is open to the public Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm. For detailed information on holidays and other special closures, visit the main hours page.
