altThe Art Library provides shelves to be used like carrels to graduate students in Art History and Art Theory & Practice in the Art Research Center. This shared study space is on the third floor of Deering Library adjacent to the Art Library. If you are interested in a shelf in the Art Research Center, please contact the Art Library to have your request reviewed at artlibrary@northwestern.edu.

Charles Deering McCormick Library of Special Collections

The Charles Deering McCormick Library of Special Collections and University Archives is home to many of the Libraries' rarest materials, including manuscripts, archives, prints, artifacts, and all materials pertaining to Northwestern's history. 

The Charles Deering McCormick Library is open to the public and our collections are non-circulating. In order to view collection materials in-person, see Plan A Visit.
